The cottage is located on Popeye Lake, approximately a 20 minute drive northeast of Elliot Lake. The City of Elliot Lake has all the amenities of a small town.

The very private Popeye Lake has only 12 cottages. The smallest lot is 1.5 acres. The neighbourhood is quiet. You will seldom hear a motorized watercraft. Lovely lake for kayaking and canoeing. Abundant wildlife and beautiful vistas! The shores of Popeye Lake are comprised of rocky slopes and areas covered in sandy or silt back shores that gently slope north toward Stanrock Road.Tree species native to the area are White Birch, Sugar Maple, Cedar and various Pine trees.Whitefish, Walleye and Burbot are some of the species of fish found in the lake.
The area is akin to a private community.The cottages are located on the more gently sloped northern shore of the lake, facing undeveloped wilderness on the southern shore.The south-facing cottages are accessible via Stanrock Road, which also leads to a much larger Quirke Lake, just north of Popeye Lake.The cottage is accessed by a road that is maintained year round by the City of Elliot Lake . Only small boats can use a public access boat launch. Bigger boats must use Quirke Lake boat launch.
